Blyde Dam Boat Trips

Next to a visit to the Kruger National Park, one of the highlights during a stay with us is to do the Panorama Tour along the Blyde River Canyon with various view points and waterfalls. Possibly the best view in the whole of the canyon is of the the “Three Rondavels”, huge, round rocks, thought to be reminiscent of the houses or huts of the indigenous people, known as rondavels. If your schedule allows it, we recommend the 1.5 hours Blyde Dam Boat Trip. An interpretation tour by a tour guide will take you to the you to the rare living Kadishi Tufa waterfall and the Three Rondavels, to see them “from below”. An abundance of wildlife will keep you distracted while learning more about the natural history of the Blyde Canyon. The Blyde River canyon supports large diversity of life, including numerous fish and antelope species as well as Hippos and Crocodiles, primate species and a diversity of birdlife.
