Extreme weather conditions over parts of South Africa
Although the weather in Hazyview and most of Mpumalanga remains normal (Dry and bright sunshine during the day, a little cold at night) for this time of year, snow and rain has caused chaos across other parts of the Country.
The South African Weather Service has been closely monitoring the development of two distinct weather systems during the past few days. The combined effect of a well-defined, low pressure system together with the movement of a cold frontal system across South Africa, cause extreme
weather conditions over most parts of the country. The areas which will be the hardest hit are the Eastern Cape, parts of the Western Cape, the southern parts of the Northern Cape as well as the southern Free State.
