Sabi Sands – Day 1

We are passionate lovers of the Kruger National Park, one of the most beautiful National Parks in the world! As visitors of the Park, there is no guarantee of finding certain animal species. They are there, but due to the size of the Park in relation to the few roads and dirt roads, as well as the absolute prohibition to go offroad, you don’t necessarily see the animals. That is what we like, because this makes the discovery of the animals so exciting.

It is different in the private game reserves, such as Sabi Sands. There are no fences between the Sabi Sands and the Kruger Park, so the animals can move freely, but the network of roads and tracks is dense and offroad driving is allowed while looking for the Big 5. We had the opportunity to spend 2 nights in a lodge in Sabi Sands and expierienced some extraordinarily great game viewing. On the first night Safari, we were lucky to find a wild dog den as the 4 week old pups were emerging. We also had the pleasure of seeing elephants, buffaloes and lions close up! Enjoy more pictures in the coming days!
